About the society

The Czech Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology is a professional society of the Czech Medical Association of J. E. Purkyně (ČLS JEP), registered under number 1380.

The society brings together physicians who work with ultrasound diagnostics in obstetrics and gynecology. It organises professional conferences and practical courses, issues certificates of competence and represents Czech specialists in international organisations.

Main activities

• The annual Čech Conference — Ultrasound and Imaging in Gynecology and Obstetrics, held in cooperation with the Fetal Medicine Foundation, London.
• Practical ultrasound courses for specialists at various levels of experience.
• Certification of ultrasound competence at three levels.
• Publication of recommended procedures for Czech clinical practice.

Membership

Membership is open to physicians and is administered by the Czech Medical Association of J. E. Purkyně. Applications are reviewed at the committee meeting, which is held four times a year.
